Società Agricola Porretta is one of Italy's leading producers and sellers of high-quality mushrooms. The company meticulously manages every stage of the supply chain, paying meticulous attention to every step, offering customers a genuine and healthy product. After harvesting, the mushrooms are sorted into different categories before being packaged. The first step is the washing section. During this phase of the process, the fresh mushrooms are thoroughly washed to remove any residual soil or dirt. This is followed by cutting and, finally, weighing to determine the quantity of product to be packaged.


Each step of the supply chain is carried out by highly specialized personnel, appropriately trained to best manage each phase or any critical issues in the production process.

Packaging of mushrooms

Once cleaned, cut and weighed, the fresh mushrooms then move on to the next stage of actual packaging.

The company boasts seven packaging lines that vary based on the different destination of each package.

In this sector, the different types of packaging and weights, i.e. the quantity of mushrooms that each package must contain, are chosen.

Labelling and packaging phase

Once the package is complete, all that remains is to apply the appropriate label containing all the relevant information about the mushrooms to ensure proper traceability. The package then passes through one of seven available packaging lines and, finally, ends its journey either in one of five active cold storage facilities, or is loaded onto vehicles equipped for transport throughout Italy. We use our own vehicles or those of external companies to ensure rapid and efficient transportation within 24 hours of harvest.
